Finatrade Foundation with support from CCTC, Dry Food Processing and staff has donated food items and detergents worth over GHC15, 000 to the Pantang Psychiatric Hospital in Accra. The items included 40 bags of pride rice, 80 cartons of Bella spaghetti, 13 cartons of Viking oil, soaps, detergents, akwaaba Malt drink etc. Making the donation on behalf of the Foundation and the Finatrade Group, Mr. John Awuni, the Corporate Affairs Director of Finatrade said the company was touched by reports in the media about the lack of food to feed patients and inmates at the hospital. According to him it was unfortunate that a hospital that is supposed to take over 400 patients is currently doing only 200 due to lack of food to feed them. He therefore urged other companies to focus on diverting their social responsibilities towards the less privilege at the hospital. Receiving the items, the Hospital Administrator, Mr. Charles Yaw Adjei, commended the Finatrade group and staff for their kind gesture and thanked them for the items which he said will go a long way in helping feed the inmates during the festive season.
